Physical description

General plan and legend with aerial photograph of Albion Explosive Complex, Deer Park. The complex was set up by federal government and managed and operated by I.C.I. It became redundant when manuafacturing capacity shifted to other parts of Australia.

Des Johnson worked in this complex approx. 1951-1952. The aerial map was acquired from Vic Image (Parliament Place, Melbourne). The plan was retrieved from rubbish when Mr Johnson was permitted to enter the area in 1998. He compiled the Legend from his personal knowledge of the plant.
