This manual would be issued to all employees for trains, staff operators, etc. Employees issued with this manual were expeced to be thoroughly aquainted with its contents.
Physical description
The State Transport Authority Rules & Regulations 1987 - rules and regulations governing all employees in operation of trains, signals, equipment, passengers and safety. It has a hard cardboard cover both front and back, a bold capital text on the front cover, three brass Stanley book fasteners for holding pages, text and diagrams.

A hand-written inscription on the title page reads "Ray Deen"
