Historical information
The linen is a souvenir marking the history of St Mark's church. It was donated to SDHS for its collection. The linen details of the original church in Derby Road, Sunshine, was dedicated on 31 July 1895, moved to Anderson Road on 27 October 1914 and destroyed by a fire on 6 November 1972. The new church was dedicated on 17 October 1959 and consecrated on 17 October 1982. This linen be a souvenir to mark the historical events.
Physical description
A cotten linen, cream in colour, square in shape. It has a red square border around it, printed red lettering with details and two images of the old and new church, the church crest and has folded line marks of being folded.
