Document - Open Education - Its Development in the Primary Schools of the Sunshine Inspectorate October 1972 Report, Education Department Victoria, Oct 1972

Historical information

Because open classroom techniques are stimulating so much interest in educational circles, and because many schools are now being constructed to cater for this interest, the experimentation currently being conducted on eight schools within the inspectorate is considered to be vital importance.

Rolling seminars were held during Term 2. The seminars consisted of visits to selected schools by participants over a period of nine weeks, together with on-site discussions.

Participating schools in the Sunshine District include Albion North Primary School, Avondale Primary School, Deer Park Primary School, St. Albans Primary School, St. Albans East Primary School, St. Albans Height Primary School, St. Albans North Primary School and Sunshine North Primary School.

This report is on the findings of the seminars.
