Commemorative badge to mark Allies Day on July 17 1942. Allies Day was a national event to celebrate Allied unity, boost public morale, and raise funds for the war effort. The day was marked with parades, military displays, and community fundraising activities.

Physical description

Portion of plastic coated circular white badge, missing its backing or holder. Thirteen coloured flags surrounding a shield, the two topmost and prominent being the Union Jack and the Australian Red Ensign.

On front: 'United for Victory and Freedom'; 'Allies Day'; 'July 17th 1942'
On back: 'A.W. Patrick, Maker, Fitzroy, Vic.'
