Artists statement
Born in Brisbane in 1940, Dale Marsh began his art career at the age of nine on a scholarship to the Queensland Art Gallery, receiving instruction from Vida Lahey. After studying drawing and painting at the Brisbane Technical College and art at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Dale immediately launched himself as a professional artist, and now, as a lifelong painter, he has had over 50 one-man exhibitions in Australia, Japan and the UK, published two books and is featured in many of Australia’s major art collections.
After many years on Bribie Island, Dale now lives north of Brisbane and continues to paint his sunlit landscapes in oils.
