Article describes progress of the Swan Decline which is now 3.5 km under the City of Bendigo, at a depth of 500 metres under Hargreaves Street. On right hand side of article: plan of Deborah and Sheepshead reef lines showing Swan decline. Written underneath plan: ' The Ribbons: the Swan decline is now under Hargreaves Street. Deposits are in black'. Mr. Doug Buerger is quoted in the article.
2. '300 New Jobs', Bendigo Advertiser May 28, 2002. Photo of Euan McGowan, Bendigo Mining heavy plant fitter and Mr. Doug Buerger, on right hand side of article. Article discusses the Bendigo Mining N.L. project and Mr. Buerger predicts that between '200 and 300 full-time jobs will become available in Bendigo'.
