A speech entitled "war memorials" given by Mrs Trigellis Smith at a guest luncheon on the 8th June, 1994. The speech details the survey conducted on war memorials in Victoria and the book that will be published as ar result of the findings. It goes on to discuss the numbers and types of war memorials in Australia, how they differed between wars and between communities. A large part of the speech discusses the issues behind representations of women in memorials in Australia.
