Historical information
The Keilor Plains Region is one of the most archaeologically significant landscapes in Victoria.
The area provides some of the oldest evidence of human occupation in Australia and preserves a rare combination of Pleistocene terraces, stone artefacts, and cultural sites.
These items demonstrate the deep time continuity of the First Nations People in the district.
