Photo shows a busy scene at the intersection of Swanston and Franklin Streets. Photo taken from the signal box to show traffic. Has SW6 858 fitted with dash canopy lighting running a route 15 and W5 720 (East Brighton route 64), and some 9 other tramcars in the view. In the background is a building advertising Havelock tobacco. The intersection has been fitted with traffic lights. Note the small car between the two trams. The second photo shows about 8 trams including W2 class 474. An Ansett airlines coach is parked outside the Anset building.
