Set of four photographs taken at Preston Workshops 3-4-1978
1 - trams 5 and 92 in the storage yard
2 - trams 43 & 1023 in St Georges Road - has the Shell service station sign in the view.
3 - tram 916, fresh out of an overhaul (an 01) in St Georges Road.
4 - ditto Miller St.

Significance

Yields information about Preston Workshops and the test of an overhauled tram. Tram 916 is now in San Francisco.
