Historical information

Following registration as a trained nurse in 1952, Vivienne Pearce began her Midwifery training in 1953. The Nurses Board Case Book set comprehensive regulation observations of the patient and her baby for the pupil nurses' curriculum for educators and supervisors to oversee. The course at that time was 12 months.
