Photograph showing the layout at The Esplanade - Carlisle St, St Kilda - The Esplanade following trackwork during Oct. 1977. Don Story's notes state "Tracks at St Kilda Beach outside Luna Park were rearranged to allow North Richmond and Kew Cotham Road trams to terminate in the centre of a new roundabout. The old side-of-road terminus was removed, and two new crossovers were installed, one in Carlisle Street and the other in the Esplanade just past the junction points. (The existing crossover in the Esplanade was retained)."
