Historical information
Photograph shows W4 class tram 670, the first of the batch of five. Has a background that has been whited out. On the rear the technical details of the tram have been typed onto the sheet. The tram was the first wide body type produced by the MMTB, though placed on 33" wheels. The W5 class followed the W4 and was placed on 28" wheels to lower the body. Of the five built, four are in Museums. The tram entered service in Nov. 1933.
