Summary
Explores the ways Christianity and Judaism are linked, and how they can be reconciled. The protagonist, Lord Monatacute, leaves his aristocratic family and retraces the steps of his Crusader ancestors to the Holy Land, hoping there to learn about and understand the roots of Christianity. Third in a trilogy of novels which also included the works 'Coningsby' and 'Sybil'.
