Historical information
The tram body was built in 1916 for the Prahran and Malvern Tramways Trust. It ran as Tram 75. In 1927 it was sold to the Melbourne Electric Supply Co. Ltd and ran as Geelong Tram 29.The State Electricity Commission tranferred the tram to Ballarat in 1936 and it became Tram 14. The tram is the property of the Ballarat City Council and on loan to the Museum.
This photograph was taken in December 1971. It shows the tram being shunted from road "1" to road "3" by hand and by J Witlers' landrover.
