Article giving brief accounts of the experiences of [Agnes] Betty Jeffrey, Vivian Statham (neé Bullwinkel), Wilma Young (neé Oram) and Jessie [Elizabeth] Hookway (neé Simons) around Banka Straits, the sinking of the Vyner Brooke and being Japanese Prisoners of War (POWs) during WWII.

'A tribute to Aussie courage':
A brief explanatory article on story of the Japanese POW nurses in Muntok and Sumatra that has inspire a sub-committee of the Ex-Prisoners of War Association of Australia to fund raise and organise a memorial to these nurses.
