Physical description

A black woollen Great Coat, possibly used as Pre WW2 uniform. The coat is full length and features two hip pockets with flaps, and a LH breast pocket without flap. The edges of the pockets are trimmed with black leather with a semicircular section machined to the outer edges for strength. Both front panels and the sleeves are fully lined, and the back is lined to shoulder level. The coat is buttoned to the collar with 5 TB buttons of pressed metal. The back of the coat has a machined waist band, and a box pleat is featured on both bodice and skirt to allow ease of movement.

Inscriptions & markings

The numbers 6 over 1247 have been screen printed on the LH skirt lining in white ink.
