Gives an introduction to street transport, continued need for public transport, vehicle choice, traffic congestion, has notes on stagered working hours, fares, rostering and computers, traffic control, overseas comparisons, with mention of subways. Has a large graph of Costs versus Fares from 1939 to 1969 looking at wages, basic wage, operating expenses and average fare per mile.
