Invicta Carpets / Invicta Mills was one of Sunshine’s most important post‑war textile manufacturers, a major wool carpet and blanket producer founded in 1946 in Sunshine, Melbourne. In 1952, the company moved its operation to South Road, Braybrook.
The Australian personality who appears in two of these adverts is Barry Crocker, a major Australian entertainer, singer, actor, TV personality, comedian, and the voice behind the original Neighbours theme.
