Physical description

Green and brown printed banknote of 1 Roepiah denomination. The face is printed in green and features a landscape scene with figures to the left and right undertaking agricultural work. The words "DAI NIPPON TEIKOKU SEIHU"and the 1 ROEPIAH denomination are centrally placed. A pair of block stamped serial letters (SN), in red, appear at the lower left and top right of the note. The reverse is printed in brown and feartures a landscape scene of a large tree with buildings in the distance on either side, surmounted by the words 'SATOE ROEPIAH'.
