Summary

A special edition of the Bacchus Marsh Express newspaper marking the start of a new era in printing and production technology for this newspaper which was first published in 1866. This special 1981 edition contained articles and photos depicting the evolution of printing technology used by the Express newspaper over previous years, and the new technology at the time of this edition in 1981. The special edition also contained regular news reports and advertising and a range of articles and photographs documenting aspects of the history of Bacchus Marsh and district. Facsimile reproductions of page 1 of the 23 July issue of 1866 and page 1 of the 9 November 1901 of the Express are included as inserts to this special souvenir edition of the Express.
