In historical terms, the Sunshine Tehcnical School magazines are important because they act as documentary evidence of student life, educational culture, and broader social change.

Many of magazines list School Council Members, Members of Staff and Student names.

Significance

This was the first edition of the newly renamed of "Sunshine" The Magazine of the Sunshine Technical School to "Wirraway" The Magazine of the Sunshine Technical School.

Wirraway is a native word meaning challenge. Challenge is the keynote to our school days. We are striving to make ourselves fit and ready to play our part in the larger world into which, all too soon, we shall past.
