Historical information

Photograph shows a Stephenson built horse omnibus at their factory in New York. It has been sign written for Cobb and Co. F B Clapp ordered the buses from Stephenson’s NY prior to the incorporation of the MTOCo. The original intention was for a partnership to operate the bus services using the Cobb & Co branding. The MTOCo was incorporated shortly after the Collingwood service commenced. The bus would have been re-branded probably before entering service. Print by the MMTB from their historic files.
