This book was produced as a Christmas gift with the proceeds going to support the Australian Soldier’s Patriotic Fund. The introduction is by William Birdwood dated France 28 September, 1917. It contains 128 pages of black and white sketches and photographs capturing the spirit, humour and hardship of the AIF on the western front.
