McPherson’s established a major industrial presence in Sunshine after purchasing 76 acres of land in 1937, building one of its key Victorian factories adjacent to the railway line.

By the mid‑20th century, McPherson’s had become a significant employer in the district and part of Sunshine’s broader industrial ecosystem alongside H.V. McKay, Wiltshire Files, and other manufacturers.

Significance

These handyman manuals were given out to customers by McPhersons's suppliers and salesmen.
