Pamphlet issued to military personnel in 1920 to "impress upon the young Australian soldier the principle that prevention is better than cure" (from introduction). Each soldier had a copy and it had to be presented when required by the commanding officers, often during kit inspections. The pamphlet provided basic information on keeping clean and hygienic, looking after boots and socks, smoking, self-control, food and fresh air.
Physical description
Small staple bound booklet with thin card cover. Publication details and tile printed in black ink inside a thin black border, the Australian emblem is at the top.
