A wide range of newspaper articles were collected and archived by Bendigo Mining N.L. during the development stages of the mine site. The articles in this folder cover a wide range of topics including information about the progress of the mine development, the boxcut, decline progress, environmental concerns and community engagement. Collection includes letters to the 'Bendigo Advertiser' expressing concerns regarding the mine's impact on the local environment.

Physical description

Collection of two hundred and fifty 'Bendigo Advertiser', 'Bendigo Miner' 'Australian' and 'Herald Sun' newspaper articles contained in a black lever arch file. Articles date from March 1996 to 23rd October 1998 and chart the development of Bendigo Mining's Carshalton site at Kangaroo Flat during that period. Some articles also relate to Perseverance Gold Mine, Fosterville.
