One of the City of Sunshine Library was its distinctive community service was its mobile library service, remembered locally as a symbol of community outreach and literacy support.
The service was launch in 1978.
Alex Gillion was the Commissioner of the City of Sunshine and Ralph Willis was the Federal Australian politician, representing the seat of Gellibrand (Western suburbs of Melbourne).
