Historical information

Ticket - 4d, used. Donor advised that the ticket was found in the bottom of her grandmother's handbag and that it was used in the South Yarra area. Based on the value, likely to be late 1940s, after the 1949 fare rise or early 1950s. On the rear is an advert for Bushell's teas without the Bushell's logo.

Significance

Yields information about the tickets used later 1940s and Bushells' advertising on the rear of tickets.
