A postcard, colour, looking at the Town Hall on the corner of Collins and Swanston St. There are three cable trams in the view. One, southbound in Swanston has a second trailer or tail car. These were used during busy days, though not liked by the crews. The signal man and his shelter is visible in the bottom right hand corner of the card.
