Sign - House name, Normanhurst

Historical information

The sign may have come from a mansion known as Normanhurst, which was built in the 1870s next to the Elsternwick Hotel on Brighton Road, Elsternwick. It was demolished in 1939 after being partially destroyed by fire.

Physical description

Chrome metal sign with letters defined by the surrounding areas being drilled/milled out. There are holes in each corner for fixing with screws. The back of the metal appears to be galvanised.
