Historical information
The image shows Tram 39 running from Drummond Street South into Sturt Street - at the Ballarat Base Hospital corner. Tram 17 is in Sturt Street. Photograph was taken on 11 August 1971 by Campbell Duncan.
When the trams ceased to run in Ballarat in 1971, Tram 39 was converted into a museum display and souvenir centre located at the depot until the new Museum building was opened during 2022.
