Historical information
Jack Lockett was one of many Mallee settlers who pioneered farming in early part of the 20th century. A road was named in his honour and a plaque placed by the family to commemorate Jack and Doll Lockett's contribution to settling the Linga area. The Pioneer and Early Settlers Memorial is situated at Underbool which is not far from the settlement of Linga.
