Article providing historic details of the life, wartime service, conviction, execution by firing squad, repatriation of body to England and funeral of nurse Edith Louisa Cavell. Although not a nurse for the allied forces during WWI she ran a nurse training college in Belgium that she set up as a Red Cross centre during WWI in which she treated and helped allied soldiers escape. She was captured and executed by the German forces in 1915.

Physical description

Two double sided pages clipped from a magazine. First page of article has three columns of text that surround a large black and white photograph of a woman in a nurses uniform at the top centre of the page, there is a filigree border around this first page. Subsequent pages have more columns of text, black and white photographs and colour and black and white advertisements.
