Historical information
Tram 26 was built by Duncan and Fraser, Adelaide in 1916. Originally built for the Hawthorn Tramways Trust. Came to Ballarat in 1930.
The photograph show the tram turning from Macarthur Street into Wendouree Parade , known as View Point. When the trams stopped operating it became part of the Ballarat Tramway Preservation Society (Ballarat Tramway Museum from 1995) fleet of trams. Photograph was taken on 11 August 1971 by Campbell Duncan, photographer.
