Photograph - Jack Lockett Collection: 'Photographs of Jack Lockett as soldier and his latter years', 2001

Historical information

The artwork in the photographs was part of an exhibition in Sydney in September 2001.
The artwork gives a clear contrast of Jack Lockett as the young soldier and also the study of an old man with the look of one who has seen much in a long life.

Physical description

Collection of six photographs in colour and black and white of Jack Lockett and his portrait as a soldier in World War 1. Several of the photographs are enlargements of the original photograph. The letter, written by artist David Warren, explains the photographs of a pencil drawing of Jack Lockett and where it was exhibited. The drawing was purchased by a Frenchman who intended to present the drawing to one of the villages where Jack fought.
