Photo shows W class tram 349 northbound in Swanston St at Bourke St. The tram has the destination of Coburg. In the background are signs for Cann's Ladies Wear and the Leviathan building advertising a Square Deal Sale. On the left hand side is a sign banning right hand turns in the afternoons and Saturdays around midday. The tram entered traffic on 18/12/1925 and was fitted with route number boxes during March 1934. Photo c1930. There is a horse drawn vehicle in the view along with a policeman on point duty.
