Historical information
This tram was built by Meadowbank Manufacturing Company of Sydney in 1915. First used by Prahran and Malvern Tramways Trust, then went to Geelong. It came to Ballarat in 1936. When the trams stopped running in Ballarat it went to Dalyesford and District Historical Society. In 1977 it was acquired by the Ballarat Tramway Preservation Society (Ballarat Tramway Museum from 1995).
The photo shows Tram 11 coming up Victoria Street, going past St Alipius Church, on 11 August 1971. Photographer was Campbell Duncan.
