Cover displays a rectangle border with the words 'watch and ward' printed inside and the Australian Commonwealth Military Forces emblem beneath. Under the emblem are two anchors and ropes in front of a large cross. The cover is printed in maroon coloured ink.

Historical information

A copy of volume 8, number 2 of a magazine created and distributed amongst those serving aboard the hospital ship Wanganella in 1943. The magazine/journal is put together by a group of personnel and includes news and entertainment, birthday and anniversary news, editorials and comical pieces, as well as letters to the editor.
