Historical information

Photo shows a W2 class tram 490, inbound, route 42 in Macarthur Street approaching Spring and Collins Streets with Alcaston House (see reference) in the background along with the Gordon Monument. The tram is recorded being at the Kew Depot in 1934. The rear destination of Mont Albert has alarready been set for the return journey.
