Historical information

The photo shows a view looking west from Swanston St of Bourke St. There are multiple motor cars and one cable set in the view. In the background are David Jones, Myers prior to an expansion to the west, and the GPO. Photo, early 1930s? Card published by WD & HO Wills, card No. 35 of 100 in the Australian Scenic Series, and that an album for them could be purchased for 1/6 from tobacconists. Notes that it is a Victorian Railways photo.

Significance
