Copy of lecture by N[ellie] J[ane (Nell)] Espie given to USI [assumed to be United Services Institute] on 24 November 1977 on the History of the Royal Australian Army Nursing Corps during the year of its 75th anniversary. Tracks the history of Army Nursing from Florence Nightingale and nine other nurses going the the Crimean War in 1854 through to Vietnam and the inclusion of male nurses from 1977. Espie also points out areas that need more research due to a lack of information retained.

Photocopied typed document, original has some handwritten annotations and there are more on the copy as well as highlights. Document paper has been trimmed roughly on the right hand edge.
