Postcard looking north along Swanston St from Flinders St shows several cable trams, many horse-drawn carts or vehicles, and a sign on the right side advising where the cable trams left for. In the background are the Princes Bridge Hotel, Putsch's afternoon tea rooms, the New American System of dentistry, Ayers Henry & Co clothier, Stainer & Co, Keystone Elgin watches?, the Cathedral Hotel, and part of the Princes Bridge Station building. Card printed in Germany and the symbol of MS on the rear.
