Colourful souvenir booklet celebrating the Royal Victoria County Park in South Hampshire. The park was the original site for the Royal Victoria Hospital, built in1856 to nurse the wounded from the Crimean War, it was the first and largest military hospital to serve the British Empire. This booklet offers a detailed history and photographs and concludes with how the grounds are used today.

Physical description

Staple bound glossy magazine. Cover displays a background of a dark black and grey photo of soldiers, over which is printed the title in cream print. Above the title, at the top of the page is the name and illustrated image of Royal Victoria Country Park. In the centre is a large square template containing a collage of illustrations of the Queen, a nurse, a wounded soldier and another soldier, a long drive leading up to a grand building.
