Historical information
Photo shows a former HTT tram, eg No. 34 or 36 or 37 (2nd) on the Ballarat depot during its conversion to dash canopy lighting during late 1960 or early 1961. It would appear that the tram has been repainted externally, but its number is yet to be applied. It is also missing a route number box. Based on the record card for tram 37 (2nd), it was received from Bendigo in late 1960 - see item 9158 and entered service during early 1961, most likely tram 37 that is now at the Sydney Tram Museum.
Significance
Yields information about the appearance tram 37 (2nd) during repainting and conversion to have dash canopy lighting.
