Historical information

Postcard shows cable trams, horse drawn vehicles, the Town Hall and other building nearby, many pedestrians and shop fronts. The north looking photograph was taken from a tall building around Flinders Lane. On the southeast corner of Swanston and Collins Sts it is possible to see the cable tramway signalman under his canopy as depicted in entry 9482.
