Historical information
" Imperial Album of London Views is a charming pictorial record of London during the early twentieth century, presenting a collection of photographic views that capture the grandeur, history, and daily life of Britain's capital. Produced as a large-format souvenir album, it showcases many of London's most celebrated landmarks, streets, and public spaces, preserving a visual record of the city at a time when horse-drawn vehicles, early motor traffic, and Edwardian architecture still dominated the urban landscape. The photographs offer a fascinating glimpse into a London that was rapidly modernising while retaining much of its Victorian character. " [taken from Antique Books Australia]
