On April 7, 2009 Jennifer Gibbons was farewelled at Kooyong, as she decided to retire after 31 years of working at first the Association for the Blind, then Vision Australia Foundation and finally Vision Australia. A very small crowd of the people she has worked alongside of during that time came together to celebrate her work, her passion and her commitment. On the Friday prior to that, she enjoyed a farewell lunch with her current team.
