Historical information

Christmas Card produced by Peter Duckett. Features an illustration of the first successful electric tramway system by Frank Sprague in Richmond Virginia USA that opened in 2/2/1888. Illustration by Jay Hambridge. The photograph is of the Julian battery tram being demonstrated in Toorak Road Melbourne. Has a detailed descriptions on the card. Peter was the proprietor of the Model Dockyard in Swanston St. a well know tramway enthusiast and photographer and sent Christmas cards to many people who he worked with.
